Company Overview

TATU Capital (Pvt) Ltd is a Microfinance institution established to provide financial services to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), individuals, corporate and institutional players with a deliberate bias towards women and women run entities.

At TATU Capital we have developed a wide range of specially tailored loan, credit and finance products that are complimented with financial education, entrepreneurial services, managerial and technical assistance, all aimed at serving underserved, low income and socially excluded populations. TATU Capital’s offerings are aimed at those traditionally excluded from accessing finance and delivered through appropriate and highly affordable technologies through our network of partners.

The Founder

Patience Mapeza

Patience is a well-known and a celebrated banker with experience spanning over 20 years. Over the years, she has been involved in Consumer Banking, Value Added Services, SMEs and Corporate Banking. Her strength in exponential bank revenue generation and growth through risk management, opportunity maximization, digital transformation and wide product deployment which saw her rise in the banking sector.

Patience can be credited with driving financial inclusion and women empowerment within the banking sector and was influential in modeling products that serve the lower end of the market. Key to her success in that space was her deep understanding of the terrain and creatively crafting unique, digitally enabled, and cost-effective access to banking services. Driven by her passion for both women and food security, she has been the driving force behind the establishment of TATU Capital, a business that seeks to ensure that women are financially included, noting that financially excluded women are also left out from economic activity and it is with this overbearing mandate that she has tasked herself to work with women in Zimbabwe.

Patience currently sits on the SOS Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Women’s Bureau boards and is involved in both the HR and Finance sub-committees.
